A kiss is not just a kiss, it can save you 125 RMB, or about 16 US
dollars! In a promotion held by the Madame Tussauds Shanghai, lovers who
can use their body language, such as kissing, to prove their
relationship, can get an extra ticket from the museum.
The activity, however, receives mixed reactions from the local visitors.
Mr. Wang, a visitor who gets a ticket by kissing his girlfriend, says
that kiss is a way to show his love for his lover. He doesn't care where
he does that.
However, there are some people hold different opinions. A man surnamed Li
tells the reporter that the activity is kind of unacceptable to him. He
says that holding each other's hands or kissing each other in public
doesn't always mean that they are couple. In addition, he doesn't think
it's proper to do some intimate deeds in public, such as kissing.
The museum says that their intention is to celebrate a unique Chinese
Valentine's Day, which falls on August 30. Actually, they didn't ask
visitors to use a kiss to prove their relationship. They can choose other
conservative ways, like touching hands or just explaining to the booking
clerk about their relationship.
